Your first stop after the rainforest is the small Mexican village of Las Juntas y Veranos. On your way to Las Juntas, you will see gorgeous cascading waterfalls, flowing rivers, and roaming wildlife including donkeys, cows, chickens, turkeys and all kinds of exotic tropical birds. This is your chance to glimpse a true non-tourist Mexican town. After traversing these back-road trails, you will reach the most respected and well-known tequila factory in the entire Puerto Vallarta region, Don Chendo. You will get to learn about the process of tequila making and packaging as well as sample the various delicious tequilas made at the factory. There are enough tastes to please all kinds of taste buds! You will be amazed at how smooth and delicious this authentic and upscale Mexican tequila is!

After the tequila factory, it is time to go back to the wilderness and head to the area where the Puerto Vallarta canopy tours take place. You will also be able to step into the petting zoo where you will see Puerto natives such as monkeys, iguanas, tropical birds, pythons and even tarantulas! The resident animal expert will show you how to safely hold and pet each of these animals. Make sure to not forget your camera! Your journey ends with a delicious meal the Plantation Restaurant back in the Puerto Vallarta Botanical Gardens, overlooking the beautiful green valley below.
