The jungle trail then criss-crosses the twisting path of the Cuale River. This sparkling river meanders down from the foot-hills of the Sierra Madre Mountains. Along the forest trail, you’ll see firsthand the remarkable variety of flora and fauna native to this region. The delicate and colorful orchids of this region are truly a sight to behold. Multi-colored butterflies flutter along, lighting on the sun-dappled petals of exotic flowering plants. Look for iguanas lounging on low-lying branches.
