Los Horcones Trail Hiking
Hike alongside a beautiful jungle river on your way to a hidden falls, where crystalline waters cascade into a placid pool. This idyllic garden spot is perfect for relaxing in the tranquility of the forest. After your nature hike, select a sun-soaked boulder and catch some rays. If you become a little too warm, dive in to the deep natural pool and take a refreshing dip. You will not find a more picturesque natural setting. The tropical songbirds will serenade you as you admire their bright plumage. The emerald hummingbirds and golden butterflies will dance from wild orchids to vine blossoms, seeking nectar and distributing pollen.
This fantastic eco-tour allows participants to see more of Vallarta than the beaches and the tourist areas. Experience the placid environment of Vallarta’s jungle interior. Our naturalist tour guides will identify the various species that make up the dizzying spectrum of native wildlife in this region. Hundreds of bird species, both local and migratory, call this region home at some pint in the year. If you are looking to relax on your vacation, instead of dealing with the throngs of tourists along the coast all day, then this little excursion to Shangri-La is for you.
After working up an appetite, we’ll provide a delicious picnic lunch. Enjoy a meal of freshly prepared fish tacos, featuring fresh local catch from Banderas Bay. Tasty locally-caught shrimp are featured in our gooey quesadillas. Fresh fruit and bottled water are also supplied for your refreshment on this hike.
