I head out to Plaza Marina in an hour to help man the final day of a 6-day Centro de Acopio (our local pound) adoption blitz, which has seen 13 dogs and 21 cats adopted in the past five days. So although it’s a lot of hard work for all involved – Silvia Alvarez, Pamela Evans, Cathy Gordon, Mark Rome, Ivonne Ortiz, Luz Maria Wong, Manuel Zapata, Perla and others – it is well worth it to think of these innocents that are given a chance to enjoy life. And of the 16 kitties removed from the Isla Cuale to avoid their demise, 15 have been adopted over the past couple of weeks.
