Puerto Vallarta is surrounded by a large variety of beautiful natural habitats and a scattering of small, quaint towns and villages. With our Sayulita Escape tour, our guests get the chance to visit one of these small, quaint Mexican villages. Sayulita is located at the north tip of the Banderas Bay. It is known as a small Mexican beach community that is quaint yet chic and rather worldly in style and class. The town is not only right on the beach but also is home to dozens of unique shops and restaurants, creating a vibe unlike that of any other area in Vallarta.
With the Sayulita Escape, guests not only get to experience the beautiful quaint town of Sayulita, they also get to explore the Vallarta backroads. Departures from this tour are found in Puerto Vallarta and Nuevo Vallarta, but the real action starts in Punta Mita, a few miles north of Nuevo Vallarta. Here, guests will climb on board our Polaris RZR Off-Road Utility Task Vehicles (UTVs). Once on the UTVs, our tour takes you through the backroads of this area, passing by river-bed roads, farms, and fields. This part of the tour gives our guests a great context for where they are geographically. We make a quick stop at a small beach where guests can purchase delicious refreshments such as a cold, fresh coconut. Just next to the beach is a traditional small cemetery.
Then, it is time for Sayulita! Guests can take one of the guided tours offered in the town, or they can simply head off on their own, exploring the narrow, quaint streets of Sayulita, or grabbing some unique souvenirs from the various shops. Guests also get a stunning view of the beach and Banderas Bay, located on the south part of the town. The tour then leaves from the north part of the town, so guests can get a full grasp of Sayulita. Then it is time for the off-road journey back to Punta Mita. This tour is certainly one way to see a different side of the Banderas Bay and see just how diverse and magical this area of Mexico truly is!
